Background
William grew up splitting his time in Edmonton and the town of Lac La Biche, Alberta. He is excited to be with Pactum Law and learn to grow his legal professional skills
Education
William decided to pursue a career in law shortly after earning his Bachelor of Arts at MacEwan University in 2017. William attended the Native Law Summer Program, which was hosted at the University of Saskatchewan, prior to attending the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law in 2018, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2021.
Throughout his post-secondary career, William was active in various Indigenous student organizations, such as the Calgary Indigenous Law Students Association, where he held several executive positions. William was also a student representative for various committees relating to Indigenous issues at both MacEwan University and the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law. While in Law school, William worked for Native Counselling Services as a Aboriginal courtworker and a legal researcher. He also volunteered for the University of Calgary’s Student Legal Assistance (SLA).
Interests
William likes to stay active outside of the office. He spent much of his time outdoors while growing up – where he has continued to practice hunting and fishing. On a more day-to-day basis he likes to stay active in the form of cycling, sports, and weightlifting. He also loves anything to do with fantasy and sci-fi and is often trying to catch up with his ever-growing book collection.
