Jose’s main area of practice is Divorce and Family Law. He can also assist clients with related matters, such as Emergency Protection Orders and Civil Restraining Orders.

Jose is a Barrister and Solicitor in both Chile (a Civil Law Jurisdiction) and Canada. Jose’s combined legal training and background give him a better understanding of the situations that international clients might face, as well as the ability to provide creative points of view and solutions to his local clients.

Jose’s practice is focused on the amicable resolution of matters when possible. He has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench, and participated in proceedings at the Alberta Court of Appeal.

While no longer actively practicing Immigration Law, Jose has successfully appeared before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and before the Refugee Appeal Division.

Jose is fluent in Spanish and can assist clients in their preferred language.
